Tactical Combat Casualty Care
Serious Game, Web-based Training
The Tactical Combat Casualty Care Simulation (TC3Sim), a serious game developed to teach and reinforce TC3 concepts for combat army medics, required an in-depth instructional analysis to identify content and design advanced interactive training modules to support the simulated 3D environment.
ILS worked closely with subject matter experts from Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX to identify content for the interactive courseware component of TC3Sim. ILS incorporated a variety of instructional design strategies to support each student’s effort to master medical competencies and to apply them in unique situations. ILS developed detailed storyboards for all instructional modules.
TC3Sim uses story-driven scenarios to teach and evaluate a learner’s knowledge of the essential tactics, techniques and procedures required of an Army Combat Medic or Combat Life Saver.
